Virgin
Island Rangers Ticketing Naturists!
Service
Rangers at the Virgin Islands National Park
have been ticketing Nudists at Solomon Beach,
a long-standing clothing-optional area.
Law
enforcement have traditionally tolerated
nude swimming and sunbathing but have recently
started ticketing nudists.
This
change in policy comes ostensibly as part
of a wide-sweeping plan to obliterate drug
traffickers and make the area safe for families
in general and children in particular. The
non-profit "Naturist Action Committee"
has issued an
action alert
with concerns that the ticketing may in
fact be due to placating concerns of businesses
who hope to lure cruise ship shuttles into
the Solomon Bay area.
