General
Info: |
Well,
we're talking San Francisco, so
toasty-hot days are quite rare.
Rest assured this beach will be
VERY busy on a hot day. The water
is far too cold for swimming but
people swim anyways! I love this
beach because of the wonderful view
of the Golden Gate bridge. The people
here are universally friendly, including
law enforcement who patrol regularly
on horseback. The crowd is mixed,
with a lot of students.

| Directions: |
|
If
you're approaching from the north,
get on the right tollboth lane of
the Golden Gate Bridge, head south,
and take the 25th Avenue exit and
then turn right onto Lincoln Boulevard.
Take a right at Bowley Street (which
will take you directly to Baker Beach).
If you're approaching from the south,
take I-280 north to the Golden Gate
Bridge 19th Avenue exit. Travel north
on 19th Avenue and turn left onto
25th Avenue then right onto Lincoln
Blvd. A left turn at Bowely Street
will get you to Baker Beach.
